The issue was Mr. G was the owner of R.S. Plot No. 502, R.S. Khatian No. 10, J.L. No. 16 of Mouza Bandra, P.S. Katwa, Dist. Burdwan. The respondents had requisitioned the land for the purpose of implementation of the scheme, ‘Construction of Katwa Protective Embankment along the river bank Ajoy’ in the year 1979 with assurance to make rental payments against the acquisition.

As per the West Bengal Land Requisition and Acquisition Act, 1996, the amounts were to be paid to the petitioners within a period of one year, which the respondents failed to comply with.

The judge facilitated a favorable verdict against the respondents. This judicial directive compelled the respondents to discharge their financial obligation by remitting the rightful compensation to the petitioner.
It is through Advocate Rajesh Kshetry’s meticulous articulation of pertinent legal points and cogent arguments that the resolution of this contentious issue was expedited, ultimately culminating in the closure of the case.
